NDIX is working with the European Commission Euregio project aimed at stimulating economic links between the Netherlands and Germany. As part of this initiative, NDIX has created networkrich Broadband Headends for education, research and commercial use in Enschede (NL), MÜnster (D) and now at the DÜsseldorf IXDatacenter.
Harro Beusker, General Manager for IXEurope Germany said:" We are seeing a lot of positive movement both in the enterprise and media sectors in the DÜsseldorf region, which covers some 16 million people. In DÜsseldorf we are already home to many networks including AT&T, COLT, ISIS Arcor, MCI and NTT. The addition of the NDIX exchange is an endorsement that IXEurope is now the leader for datacenter services and peering in the region."
The switch is currently operating with 8 Gigabit Ethernet fiber ports and 24 copper 100Mbps Ethernet ports. More information about the switch can be found by contacting the team at IXEurope DÜsseldorf: germany@ixeurope.com.
