This is a major event organised by Information Age for the European enterprise datacenter market and is sponsored by Dell, BT, Oracle, CapGemini and Hewlett Packard. Guy Will ner will be participating in a panel discussion on " Data centre operators' issues"with other leading datacenter operators.
He is expected to raise issues faced by enterprise, web and banking sector businesses in relation to increased demand for power, the need for capital improvements and the subsequent performance delivery demands from their endusers. This comes at a time when there is increased focus on agility, efficient utilisation and pressure to reduce operating costs. The corporate datacenter is at risk of falling behind market standards which is leading to a number of large capital projects for datacenter outsourcing across Europe.
These factors combined, as well as a general concern around SarbanesOxley inspired ITaudits and Basel2, are expected to put the industry on a wave change for both internal and external service providers.
Guy Willner, CEO of IXEurope, comments
"It is a very exciting time for the industry and I am looking forward to sharing our views on the issues that the enterprise IT Director can expect to face in the future. The Outsourcing market is beginning to converge with the Business Continuity market, and with bandwidth prices continuing their way down, accessibility to a new set of ITinfrastructure tools is widening for the enterprise. The next few years will present a crossroads for many in the datacenter industry and IXEurope intends remain at the forefront of the market and continue to invest in growth, both in facilities and new services".
IXEurope is also sponsoring the event and representatives will be onhand throughout the two days to discuss general datacenter matters as well as any specific datacenter requirements.
