This newest move, to IXEurope's Geneva IXDatacentre, will enable Orange's financial services arm, (previously branded Etrali), to build on the sound foundations of a network-rich and class-leading datacentre and hence provide a reliable and efficient IT and networking hub for its banking clients.
Since 2002 Orange's presence with IXEurope has grown progressively from London and Frankfurt, to Zurich in 2004 and now to Geneva, mirroring the company's success in financial markets.
Orange Business Services is the major partner for more than 1,600 trading rooms in over 48 countries and guarantees continuity of their business. To deliver to its clients it needs direct access to the world's main financial markets through highly specified and well-connected datacentres.
IXEurope provides a high quality colocation solution within its IXDatacentres where racks are pre-cabled for power and connectivity. This makes for fast installation and provides almost immediate access to a wide range of local networks enabling rapid connection of end-clients and complete failover ability.
Coupled with the sophistication of IXEurope's colocation service is the knowledge that the IXDatacentre is ISO9001:2000 certified in terms of operations quality.
