IXEurope represents the datacentre industry at Orbit-iEX event 07

May 3, 2007

IXEurope has announced its participation as a sponsor at the Orbit-iEX exhibition to be held 22 - 25 May at the Zurich Exhibition Centre.

IXEurope, Europe's specialist datacentre services company, has announced its participation as a sponsor at the Orbit-iEX exhibition to be held 22 - 25 May at the Zurich Exhibition Centre.

Zurich Orbit-iEX has established itself as the biggest IT exhibition in Switzerland, since the Orbit event in Basel merged with the iEX in Zurich several years ago. The event is the Swiss business platform for Information and Communication Technology and is living testament to the growth and increasing convergence of these industries.

This is the second year that IXEurope is staging a professional exhibition, presentation and networking platform - the ICT Solution Park @ Orbit-iEX. IXEurope has teamed up with Dominik Hunziker of eSystems and Rianne Biesters of Infotalks to bring together over 50 exhibitors from the Swiss IT and telecommunication industry at this unique platform.

The event promises to be a major success in promoting IT solutions in the Swiss market, offering several options from workstations to individual booths. There will also be a networking party taking place every evening, which attracted more than 550 people each night at last year's event.

Frits van der Graaff, General Manager of IXEurope in Switzerland comments: “We are delighted to stage this unique solution showcase and provide a forum for companies to share services, knowledge and expertise with other leading players from the Swiss IT scene. We are also pleased to welcome our first sponsors to the event - AV-Distribution who will provide all video projection facilities and Megatron who will provide flat-panel displays across the Solution Park zone.”

According to Giancarlo Palmisani, manager of Orbit-iXE, it is expected that there will be 20% more exhibitors at the Solution Park compared to last year. The ICT Solution Park was so successful last year that renowned solutions providers including green.ch, tic, BrÜco, Firebuster, EWZ, Institute for Applied Information Technology InIT/ZHW, KnÜrr, Allied Telesys and Cablecom have already joined the ICT Solution Park, whilst many more are about to sign the contract.
