Equinix Appoints Darren Mann as Managing Director for Equinix Australia

Doug Oates, the Former Managing Director for Equinix Australia, Becomes Vice President of Sales for Equinix Asia Pacific

Sydney, Australia — April 07, 2008 — Equinix, Inc. (Nasdaq: EQIX), the leading provider of network-neutral data centers and Internet exchange services, announced today that Darren Mann has been promoted to managing director of Equinix Australia as Doug Oates takes on the new role of vice president of sales for Equinix Asia Pacific.

Mann joined Equinix in January 2001 as a senior account executive and has played an integral part in building Equinix's customer base in Australia. In 2006, he was promoted to sales director where he held sole responsibility for the performance of the local sales team.

Previously, Mann spent six years at IHS Australia as a member of the sales team, where he was responsible for selling online technical and regulatory database services to the university, construction & mining, and defense industry sectors.

Prior to this, he spent six years in the retail sector, three of which were in management positions. Mann holds over 18 years of experience in sales with 13 years in the IT industry. As managing director, he will have overall responsibility for Equinix's business presence in the Australian market.�

Oates, in his new capacity as the vice president of sales for Asia Pacific, will develop the sales strategies for the region while working closely with the Asia Pacific managing directors on regional and international deals. Oates has been the managing director of Equinix Australia since 2000 and has over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications and IT industry.
