Equinix Appoints Joanne Hon as Managing Director of Hong Kong

Hong Kong – January 29, 2024 – Equinix, Inc. (Nasdaq: EQIX), the world's digital infrastructure company®, today announced the appointment of Joanne Hon to the position of Managing Director of Equinix Hong Kong. Based in Hong Kong, Joanne will be responsible for leading the company’s business strategy and local expansion and will report to Jeremy Deutsch, President of Equinix Asia-Pacific.

  • Joanne Hon brings more than 25 years of experience in financial technology, investment, insurance, legal and professional services, leading companies through major growth and transformation in the Asia-Pacific region. Platform Equinix® hosts a rich ecosystem of financial services companies in Hong Kong. Joanne’s extensive experience in the sector will be a huge asset as the company continues to expand the ecosystem.
  • Having held various leadership positions in Asia-Pacific, Joanne has demonstrated the capability to lead companies through major growth and transformation. Joanne has worked for publicly listed multinational companies as well as private equity-backed technology firms, including Thomson Reuters, Mercer, Dealogic, CPA Global and Broadridge.
  • Joanne holds a master’s degree of Science in Financial Management from the University of London, and a bachelor’s degree of Arts in Economics, majoring in Asian Studies from the University of British Columbia.
