住友生命、マルチクラウド接続基盤として エクイニクス「Platform Equinix®」を導入 ～世界最大級のエコシステムを活用し、異業種連携の推進も～

住友生命保険相互会社（取締役 代表執行役社長 高田 幸徳、以下「住友生命」）は、エクイニクス・ジャパン株式会社(代表取締役社長 小川 久仁子、以下「エクイニクス」)が提供するマルチクラウド接続基盤「Platform Equinix®」を導入しました。

１．導入の背景

住友生命は、「一人ひとりのよりよく生きる＝ウェルビーイング（Well-being^※１）」に貢献することで、「なくてはならない」生命保険会社を目指しています。

その実現に向け、Vitality健康プログラムを中心とするWaaS（Well-being as a Service^※２）エコシステムを構築し、様々なWell-beingサービスでお客さまとつながり、そこから得られる多様なデータの利活用を進めています。

今般、住友生命は「Platform Equinix®」を導入したことで、システムインフラを主要なクラウドサービスやネットワークに隣接配置することが可能になり、様々なクラウドサービスと安定的かつ効率的なシステム連携を実現できるようになります。今後は、パートナー企業とのデータ連携をはじめとした異業種企業とのシステム連携を加速し、一人ひとりのお客さまにより適したサービス、最適な保障の提供を目指していきます。
